I'm writing to apply for the position of Assistant Department Manager at Sparrow Hospital. I
am confident that my skills are well-aligned with the role, and that I would be an excellent fit for
your organization.
I have learned and accomplished a great deal in my eleven years of nursing. I am motivated,
task-oriented, and efficient, and my knowledge of the nursing industry is comprehensive and
current. One of my proudest moments to date occurred while I was a registered nurse at Sparrow
Hospital. In this capacity, I was responsible for direct patient care. On one occasion, I completed
the Certified Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse Exam which led to recognition from my peers
as an accomplished nurse. On another occasion, I was also the Nurse of the Year for the Internal
Medicine Residency during my time there, which assisted with increasing respect and
communication with physicians.
I believe my experiences and track record make me an excellent fit for this opportunity. I have
