Adverbial Clause

Adverbial Clause adalah anak kalimat yang berfungsi sebagai kata keterangan atau Adverb.
A. Position
1 Initial position
Pattern
: Conjunction + Subject + Verb, Subject + Verb
Example : After I finish my assignment, I will take you home
2 Middle Position
Pattern
: Subject, Conjunction + Subject + Verb, Subject
Example : War, when it is waged for a long time, can destroy the morale of country
3 Final Position
Subject + Verb + Conjunction + Subject + Verb
(untuk semua jenis Adverbial Clause)
Example : Richard didnt come to our party because he is very busy
Subject + Verb, Conjunction + Subject + Verb
(khusus Adverbial Clause of Contrast)
Example : Rouge wants to stop, whereas I want to continue

Adverbial Clause of Comparation


(anak kalimat yang berfungsi sebagai kata keterangan yang menyatakan Perbandingan)
Conjunction
As (adjective/adverb) as (noun) = digunakan untuk kalimat positif
So (adjective/adverb) as (noun) = digunakan untuk kalimat negative
The same (noun) as
Example : Mr. Browns car has the same price as Mr. Blacks (does)
: Miranda sings as beautifully as Raise (does)
Note:
Untuk semua Adverbial Clause bisa di- abridgment yaitu dengan cara membuang Subject
dan Verb dalam Noun Clause-nya.
