1) The affadavit is from a student who lost their original degree certificate while traveling from one place to another. 2) They lodged a police complaint to try and locate the lost certificate but the police were unable to find it. 3) The student is now requesting a duplicate degree certificate from the university since the original is lost beyond recovery.
