The B vitamins are eight water-soluble vitamins that play important
roles in cell metabolism. B vitamins are necessary in order to support and
increase the rate of metabolism, maintain healthy skin and muscle tone,
enhance immune and nervous system function, promote cell growth and
division and reduces the risk of pancreatic cancer. B-vitamins are needed
in order to treat various b-vitamin deficiencies like beriberi,
ariboflavinosis, pellagra, macrocytic anemia and peripheral neuropathy.
Before the administration of vitamin B complex intravenously, a
skin test must be conduction. The appearance of skin rashes, redness and
swelling of the skin indicates that the patient is allergic to vitamin B-
complex.
