in folders of years and my 2012 folder wont open! its the only one and

A drive becomes usable after formatting. Formatting creates sectors in
the hard disk used to store data. Any way click on start menu. Click on
run, Then type ''cmd''. A Command Prompt will be open. Write
Chkdsk drive-name:/r and press enter.
Note that in the above line write the drive name which contain problem,
such as F, D or etc
It starting checking your drive. A time Consuming process with 5
phases.

I had the same problem so I tried it on my laptop that is running Ubuntu
Linux and it worked just fine so for me its only a problem with windows
reading the drive and not the drive itself

Before you give up on your data, try plugging the drive into a different
port, or a different computer if one's available and see if the files can be
accessed, then try to back them up if you need to. This particular kind of
error has been occurring since at least Windows 2000/Millennium
Edition and I can only think of one drive I ever had to format at all. The
rest of the time it was always a false positive and I've owned alot of
drives. You probably don't even need to download a tool, every time this

and using it do not do anything with inbuilt hard disk by mistake if you
do not know exactly how use it

Hi! I had this same problem just a few days ago. I need to reformat my
pc and so i saved my files on a my flashdrive as back-up. After
successfully reformatting the hard drive and re installing the os, I was
about to resave my files then this message "you need to reformat drive d
before you can use it" poped up when i inserted the flashdrive. I was
really shocked and dismayed because I encountered this same problem
before several times and had no choice but to lose all my files and
reformat the drive. And so searched for all the possible resort to save my
files and as much as possible recover everything on the drive. I came
across youtube and saw this video.Here's the link:
