The Patel College of Global Sustainability at the University of South Florida organized a sustainable food conference on January 30, 2015. The conference introduced ideas to promote sustainable food and gardening practices. Exhibitors showed recent developments in sustainable food to educate attendees. Topics included sustainable food systems, farmers markets, food waste reduction, and the impact of food on the environment and public health. An optional tour of local community gardens was also offered.
