Details of Works/Services requi red :
Project Name: MP 1072- Construction of 250 Offices Building for P&FE.
Location : Admin camp
Charge Code: AFE- 209340301 R, EW09580.253000.3750000
Description of Work:
Drilling Boreholes in all types of soils each up to 10.0 M depth from existing N.G.L.
No. of Boreholes shall be seven (7) as indicated in the attached Drawing.
Conducting SPT at every 1.0 M interval
Conducting Laboratory tests for (1) Chemical such as Chlorides and Sulphates, Sieve Analysis, Atterberg
Limits (LL & PL) wherever Clay or Clay-silt or Silt or Silt-Fine sand is met in layers. Only one test to be
performed in each Borehole selecting the soil category as per the order given above; Unit Weight and Direct
Shear test
5. Recommendations on Safe Soil Bearing Capacities at every 1.0 M interval including the complete report.
6. Report shall include the following as a minimum:
a. Actual Field Conditions,
b. Boring Logs
c. Sub-soil description
d. Allowable bearing pressures and settlements
e. The recommendations of Bearing Pressures shall be at 1.0 M interval for isolated foundations/
footings and strip footings for Load Bearing Walls. (Note: The Proposed Building is three (3) storied
Aerated Concrete Building shall be constructed adopting Load Bearing Wall Tec hnology using
Aerated Concrete Blocks for walls, Aerated Concrete Lintels for open ings of Doors and Windows and
Aerated Concrete Unit Slabs for suspended Floors and Roofs. The Contractor needs to include in his
report, the Technical Discussions, pros and cons in settlement criteria (failures) of Load Bearing Wall
Strip Footings. Size of the Building shall be 100.0 M Length X 35.0 M Width X 16.0
M (approximately). Width of Wall at Foundation Level shall be 250 mm and unsupported wall length
shall be 5.8M (maximum)

Service Request)

Justification : Preparation of FEED Drawings of "250 Offices Building for P&FE" has become urgent due to "Fast
Track Project schedule." The Sub-soil Investigation Report shall be part of Contract Document for reference in
Detailed Design by an EPC Contractor.
