UNLOCKING HUAWEI E1552 3G MODEM

USING J.A.U. Just Another Unlocker


(MANUAL UNLOCK METHOD)

Note: The following steps may also be


applicable in unlocking other supported
models of Huawei 3G USB Dongles.

* This method is very helpful when you are using only your Huawei 3G USB Modem fo r internet access. Since the application uses the
same COM port of the USB Modem in unlocking and may result to some errors, it is recommended that you use this manual method in
making your USB Modem OPENLINE.
* * Highly recommended for unlocking Globe Tattoo and SmartBro Mobile Broadband (PH).

MANUAL UNLOCK METHOD


1. Go to JAU Folder and run the J.A.U. application (J.A.U.exe).

2. The Main tab of the application shall now be shown.

a. Now, click Settings tab.


b. Enter the Username and Password.
c. Click Login button to connect to the server.

3. When the application is connected and ready:


a. Go to HUAWEI tab.

b. In the Huawei tab, click HUAWEI CODE CALC / DIRECT UNLOCKER.

4. In this method, we will not use the DO JOBS button, instead, we will let the server calculate
the USB Modems IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity) and returns the
UNLOCK CODE to be used later.

5. If you still dont know your USB Modems IMEI, start looking for it. You may find it in your USB
modems box, in your USB modems dashboard (application), or in the actual device itself.

6. When you already know you IMEI, lets say for example that your IMEI is 35314203503663, we
will now try to get the UNLOCK CODE from the server using the J.A.U. application.
a. Enter the USB Modems IMEI in the Enter your Device IMEI textbox.
b. Click the GET CODE button. (The application will contact the server. Wait for the result.)

c. If the IMEI is supported, the server will calculate and return an UNLOCK CODE. (In the
example, the server gives you Code: 63871133.)

7. Now that you have the code, you are ready to unlock the USB Modem to make it openline (or
open to any mobile network).

There are several ways of entering the UNLOCK CODE to your device.
a. Using another mobile network SIM.
If your device is registered to one (1) network (e.g. MegaFon), remove the SIM and insert
another mobile networks SIM (e.g. SmartTel) to you device. Run your USB Modems
Dashboard / Software and a small window will appear prompting you to enter the unlock
code. So, use the UNLOCK CODE from J.A.U. and viola! Your device is unlocked.

(Note: Most of the time, you dashboard will not prompt you that your device is unlocked,
nonetheless, your device/USB modem is indeed unlocked and it is already OPENLINE.)

b. Using the HUAWEI CODE WRITER.


Another method is to use a software called Huawei Code Writer, which you can search
using google.com or you may download in:

Run the application.
Select COM port.
Unlock Mode and Enter the UNLOCK CODE.
Presto! You may now enjoy you USB Modem to work with any SIM.
