The
period
of
a
pendulum
is
the
time
that
it
takes
for
the
bob
to
go
from
one
side
to
another.
In
this
lab
we
tested
to
see
if
the
angle
of
the
drop
would
affect
the
period.
I
hypothesized
that
the
period
would
increase
the
greater
the
angle.
We
used
a
protractor
to
measure
the
angles
that
we
dropped
the
bob.
We
kept
the
controlled
variables
the
same
by
not
changing
the
length
and
weight
of
the
bob.
My
data
shows
that
my
hypothesis
was
half
correct
and
half
wrong.
At
angles
25,50,
and
90
the
period
increased
as
I
had
hypothesized
however
at
angles
110,
and
130
the
period
decreased
making
my
hypothesis
incorrect.
The
other
groups
texted
the
same
angles
being
50,90,
and
130.
There
data
however
was
drastically
different
there
average
time
for
1
swing
was
almost
3
times
the
number
that
we
had.
Only
the
length
of
the
string
effects
the
length
of
the
period.
Neither
the
angle
nor
the
weight
of
the
bob
will
change
the
period.
In
conclusion
the
period
of
a
pendulum
is
only
affected
by
the
length
of
the
string
