Presets - Quick Start Tutorial


Sometime the zip function doesn't work well with windows, and most of the time this
has been solved by installing this free software to unzip the files http://www.7-zip.org/.

Installing Lightroom Presets


1. Unzip the files, and select the folder
containing the presets (PhotoSerge-Vol....).
Right click and choose Copy PhotoSerge....

3. Click on Show Lightroom Presets Folder....

2. Open Lightroom, and go into Preferences ->


Presets Tab.

5. Restart Lightroom and the presets will apear in


the develop module as PhotoSerge-Vol....

4. Locate and open the Develop Presets folder and


paste the new folder in that folder.

Installing Photoshop Presets in Mac


1. Open the folder Photoshop Presets that you
downloaded and un-zipped. Select all the .xmp
files and copy (Command-C).
2. Go to the Finder and open a new window
(Command-N).

4. Go to Application Support -> Adobe ->


Camera Raw -> Settings.
5. In the Settings folder, paste the .xmp files you
had earlier copied (Command-V).

3. Go to the Go Menu at the top, hold down Alt


or Option and the Library sub-menu should
appear. Click on this.

Installing Photoshop Presets in Windows


1. Open up "My Computer".

FOR WINDOWS XP

Navigate to your C drive.

2. Go to the folder Documents and Settings > YOUR


USER NAME > ApplicationData > Roaming >
Adobe > CameraRaw > Settings

FOR WINDOWS 7
2. Go to the folder Users > YOUR USER NAME >
AppData > Roaming > Adobe > CameraRaw >
Settings
3. If you cannot see the "AppData" folder, do the
following:
a. Open Folder Options by clicking the Start
button Picture of the Start button, clicking
Control Panel, clicking Appearance and
Personalization, and then clicking Folder
Options.
b. Click the View tab.
c. Under Advanced settings, click Show hidden
files, folders, and drives, and then click OK.

3. If you cannot see the "Application Data" folder do


the following:
a. Open Folder Options in Control Panel.
b. Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
c. Click Appearance and Themes, and then click
Folder Options.
d. On the View tab, under Hidden files and
folders, click Show hidden files and folders.
4. Copy the contents of the Photoshop Presets
folder into this folder.
