Setting

The Fault in Our Stars (TFIOS) was released on June


6, 2014 in the United States Sept 4, 2014 in
Malaysia.
Development of TFIOS began in January 2012 when
Fox 2000, a division of 20th Century Fox optioned
the rights to adapt the novel into a feature film.
Principal photography began on August 26, 2013 in
Pittsburgh, United States.
Few additional days in Amsterdam, Netherlands on
October 16, 2013.

Overview of Plot
Hazel Grace met Augustus Waters during a support
meeting.
They started hanging out and switched novel for
each other to read.
Augustus Waters showed some interest on the novel
that Hazel gave, An Imperial Affliction.
They both needed a closure on that novel.
Augustus has traced Van Houtens assistant, Lidewij
and Van Houten corresponded by email.
They both went to Amsterdam to pay a visit to Van
Houten and asked for a closure about that novel.

Overview of Plot
During their visit, Van Houten has been a jerk to
them due to his drinking problem.
As the two of them leaving, Lidewij invited them to
go sightseeing at Anne Frank House, to make up
their trip.
At the end of the trip, both of them shared some
love.
The next day, Augustus told Hazel that his cancer
has relapsed and spread throughout his body and is
terminal.
After their return to Indianapolis, Augustuss health
worsen.
He is taken to the ICU for a few days and realise he is

Augustus invited Hazel and his blind best friend Isaac
to his pre-funeral.
Augustus dies eight days later.
Hazel was shocked to find Van Houten in attendance.
Van Houten tried to tell Hazel about the fate of
Annas mother, so he gave a piece of paper.
