Some people hate shopping while others enjoy it excessively. However, many people buy impulsively, for the sake of buying, things they cannot afford, to keep up with others, to overcome personal problems, or to gain admiration - buying what a product represents rather than the product itself. While some people shop wisely with lists, others spend excessively and risk becoming addicted to shopping as compulsive spenders who buy everything, often getting into debt with feelings of guilt and depression.
