Overview
ArcGIS Desktop software offers a multitude of tools for creating and maintaining a GIS
database. Most editing tools can be used interchangeably to manually create and modify
database features, while others are used to transform and assemble entire datasets. This
seminar provides useful tips and tricks for working with editing tools and sketches to
construct vector geometry. The presenter will demonstrate data production techniques for
edgematching and rubber sheeting as well as useful developer samples.
The presenter will discuss:
copy and paste techniques
on-the-fly unit conversion
tracing with offset options
creating and exploding multipart features
edgematching and rubber sheeting
