Dear Parents:

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend.


Last week the kids celebrated the
Beautiful letter B with BEADS! They
read about BEES and BUTTERFLIES
and had lots of fun learning.

Literacy Inquiry:

We are practicing with the formation of letter


P, creating letter P porcupines and paper
plate pirate craft and many more fun
activities. This week we are introducing the
sight word up as well as reviewing all our
sight words in morning messages and guided
reading.

Math Inquiry:

In math, the kids will be learning about


measuring different things using non-standard
units. (like markers, blocks, paper clips,etc.)

Bubble Fun on Thursday!!

Unit of Inquiry:

Central Idea: The interdependence of


insects and other living things impact our
environment. This week we will be learning
the life cycle of a butterfly and inquire about
the praying mantis.

Thursday Feb. 5th,
Please help your
child bring things
starting with letter
P.

Home Connection:

Measure everything!
Give your child
different objects
and have them check
length using
different
nonstandard units.
