USE 2 Past Facts and Generalizations


Used to" can also be used to talk about past facts or generalizations
which are no longer true.

Sarahused to be fat, but now she is thin.

WOULD
"Would" is most commonly used to create conditional verb forms. It
also serves as the past form of the modal verb "will." Additionally,
"would" can indicate repetition in the past.
Examples:

Some verbs can go before the gerund or the infinitive with no
difference in meaning

She started to work there in 2009

= She started working there in 2009

Other verbs like : begin, cant stand, continue, hate, love,


prefer.
