EP1 Rainbow Week15

This week's class will focus on learning about little creatures. The students will review numbers, days of the week, weather, and practice their graduation dance. They will learn vocabulary about various bugs and do a craft scratching colors onto black hearts. Videos about fireflies and ladybugs will be shown. The class will start learning letter names and integrating letters and sounds into lessons by asking what sound and name a letter makes. Writing practice will continue with the numbers book if time allows.

The students will sing the days of
the week song and the weather
songs and adjust the daily boards.
We will practise both numbers and
the graduation dance. We will spend
some time working in our numbers
workbook and going over numbers 020.

Dates: February 9-13, 2015

Activity Time
Vocabulary: bug, fly, ladybug, bee, grasshopper, ant, spider, caterpillar,
butterfly, dragonfly, snail, worm, centipede
Sentence structures: What is this? It is a ladybird/ant
What colour is the ladybird/ant? It is red/yellow
Does a ladybird fly/crawl?
We will make a Valentines Day craft. We will scratch out colors on black
hearts.

The students will now start to learn the letter names. We will start practising using this sentence
