According to the law of conservation of energy, energy can neither be created nor
destroyed. It can only be converted from one form to another.
We can see this in many everyday occurrences. When we digest food, the chemical energy in
the food is converted into mechanical energy needed to move our muscles and thermal
energy needed to keep our body warm.
