Assumingratiosandimpedancesmatch,yes.Startbylookinghere.Figures10and11onpage13aretheonesofinterest.
Letsusethefiguresandbushingnumberingarrangementsshownontheleft.BeginningwithFig10,writeAnexttoH1,B
nexttoH2,CnexttoH3,anexttoX1,bnexttoX2andcnexttoX3.Theserepresentthesystemphases,andABC(abc)
rotationisassumed.Torepresenttherotation,drawasemicirclenexttothephasorswithanarrowheadpointingintheCCW
direction.Fig10isdone.
UseaseparatepieceofpaperforFig11.Redrawallthelinesheavily,thendrawCnexttoH1,BnexttoH2,AnexttoH3,c
nexttoX1,bnexttoX2,andanexttoX3.TorepresentABCrotation,aCWarrowisneeded.TurnthepagewithFig11over,
lefttoright.Holduptoalightifnecessary.Ifdoneproperly,allthesystemphaseswillbeinthesamelocationsonthetwo
figures,withbothrotationarrowspointinginthesamedirection.Connectthesystemphasestothebushingsasshownand
yourtransformerswillparallel.Tobesafe,alwaystestvoltageacrossanopenswitchbeforecompletingtheparallel.By
rotatingthefigure,youcanseethatanypairofhighsideconnectionscanberolledaslongasthecorrespondinglowside
pairisrolledaswell.
SowastheDY11convertedtoaDY1bymeansofchangingtheexternalconnections?IfyoulookatDY?asreferringtothe
systemphases,yes.IprefertoseetheDY?designationasanindicationonlyoftheinternalconnections.Icanthenmore
easilyseethatanyDYtransformercanbeinstalledsothesecondaryis+or30degrees,+or90degrees,or+or150
degrees.
