LearningObjectives:

flowchart.
StudentswilluseLEGOsoftwaretowriteaprogramthatwillnavigaterobotthrough
mazecourse.
Studentswillusevarioustools,includingthePortViewfeatureonEV3,rulers,and
protractorstomeasuredistancesandanglesinmazecourse.
Studentswillcalculatemotorcontrolvaluesusingproportions,giventheactualand
precisemeasurements.
Studentswillcollaboratewithteammembertocompletetask.
Studentswilluseproblemsolvingtodecideonthebestwaytocompletemaze.
Studentswillanalyzeandevaluatetheassignedtask,theirwrittenprograms,andtheir
robotsperformance,andmakechangeswhennecessary.
Studentswilljustifytheirprogrammingdecisions.

Activities:

1. Createflowchartformaze
2. Takemeasurementsofthedistancesandturnsineachstepofthemaze.
3. Beginwritingprogramandmakingcalculationsformotorcontrolvalues
(degrees/rotations/power).
4. Continuallytestrobottomakesureyourrobotisontrack.
5. Completemazeprogramandtest.Whenfinalizedandsuccessful,printandturnina
copyofyourprogram.
6. Competeinmazecourse.
