VPN On Mac Tutorial

To configure VPN access on a Mac, open Network Preferences and click the plus icon to create a new VPN connection. Select Cisco IPSec VPN and fill in the service name, server address, username, password, shared secret, and group name. Once created, click the VPN icon in the menu bar and enter the password to connect, then disconnect when finished.

Configuration Setting for VPN Access using Mac OS

1.

Click Wifi Icon > Open Network Preferences

Create new connection entries by Click (+) Icon :

Choose VPN in the interface drop down menu :

Fill the form with :


- Interface
- VPN Type
- Service name
Then click create

Fill the form with :


- Server address : 180.250.95.19
- Account Name : (your username)
- Password
: (your password)
Then click Authentication Settings

Fill the form with :


- Shared Secret
- Group Name
Then Click Ok and apply

Click VPN icon on the top of mac :

Fill the password text box with your password


Then click ok

9.

To Disconnect the VPN, click disconnect vpn in the vpn icon
