Problem:
How can you determine how fast an object is moving?
Hypothesis:
I think that we can determine how fast an object is moving by
measuring how long it takes, for the car to travel 100 cm, or 1 m, then
applying that to km/s.
Materials:
Toy car, meter stick, flat surface, stopwatch
Procedure:
Put meter stick on flat surface
Line up car next to meter stick
Set up stopwatch
Start car
Record how long it takes car to travel to the end of meter stick
Analyze data
Data:
1st run: 3.38 seconds, 2nd run: 3.30 seconds, 3rd run: 3.18 seconds

Results:
We had an average of 3.29 seconds for the car to travel 1 meter. Which
means 0.3 meters per second. Which means that are car traveled 1080
meters per hour. And that equals 1.08 km/h = 0.67 mph.
Conclusion:
In this lab, we tested our methods on how to determine how fast a toy
car was moving. Our method of figuring out the speed of our car
worked. We figured out that the car was traveling 1.08 km per hour or
0.67 miles per hour. In, conclusion we were able to determine the toy
cars speed with a ruler stick, a stopwatch, and are method.
