Introduction To Drums

The document provides instructions on learning the basic drum beat. It first defines drums as a percussion instrument played with sticks to keep time and organize songs. It then discusses drum set components and holding the sticks properly. Finally, it outlines the steps to learn a basic 4/4 beat, which involves playing the hi-hat continuously with the right hand and adding snare drum strokes on beat 3 and bass drum kicks on beat 1. The goal is to combine the snare and bass drum to play a full basic drum beat.
