Agreeing and disagreeing with opinions

some common expressions that are used to ask about opinion:


What do you think about.? / are you against or for....? /Do you think that.?
Whats your opinion about..? /Do you really believe that..? / How do you see.?
Are you absolutely sure that.? / How do you feel about.? /What are your ideas about..?
Am I right in thinking that? / dont you think that?
some common expressions that are used to give opinions:
Informal way:
to be honest./ I feel that../ I reckon../ I dont feel./ if you ask me./ to my
mind/ I guess../ the way I see it is./ what I reckon is
Formal way:
it seems to that../ I would argue that..../ I dont agree that......./ Im sure that/ Im
convinced that./ I strongly believe that/ from my point of view. / I tend to think that/ in
my opinion../ in my view/ I dont think../ Im absolutely convinced that/ I dont
believe that/ I have no doubts that../ as far as I am concerned/ Id like to point that..

Some expressions that are used to agree and disagree with opinions:
A) Agreeing with an opinion:
I quite agree with you
I think so too
I share the same view.
Thats exactly what I was thinking my self
Youre absolutely right
You are quite right
I agree completely with this idea
This idea is partially right
Thats good point
Id go along with that
You are right at point

B) Disagreeing with an opinion:


I disagree with you
I dont think so
I think this idea is bad
I think this idea is possible, but..
I dont agree with this idea
Thats different
Thats not entirely true
Im sorry to disagree with you, but
Thats not the same thing at all
Im afraid I cant agree with you
I see what you mean, but.
Im afraid, I dont agree.

I. Respond to the following statements as indicated:


a. I think women are more patient with children than men you:
