Dear Parents/Guardians,
Hello! My name is Karen Sanchez and I am very happy to be
the student teacher for Mrs. Cordells class this spring. Id like to
begin by telling you a bit about myself. I am currently a student at
The University of Arizona and am expected to graduate May of 2015
with a bachelors degree in Elementary Education. I love being a
teacher and am very excited to have a class of my own someday but
I am also excited to have the opportunity to work with your child.
Id also like to give you a brief description about how student
teaching works. In the beginning, I get to know the students, get
familiar with the teachers expectations, and get an overall feel for
the school. Eventually what we are working towards is for me to
become their full time teacher for a few weeks. Mrs. Cordell and I will
be working together to reach this goal. While student teaching, I
hope to learn everything possible about teaching and creating an
engaging learning environment for your child.
I look forward to getting to know you and your child throughout my
time at Lulu Walker Elementary. As your childs student teacher, it is
my goal to help them achieve academic success and to make this is a
positive experience for them!
