funifthatwasallthatIsaid,right?Whynotknowaboutallthecomplicationsand

struggleshehashadwithbeingoneofthecreatorsofapple?

StevenPaulJobswasbornonFebruary24,1955toJoanneSimpsonand

AbdulFattahJandali.Joannewasonherownatthetimewhenheryoungboy,soonto

benamedStevenPaulJobswasborn.HewasborninSanFrancisco,andwas

alreadyputupforadoption.Joannewishedtohavehersongotocollegegraduate

adultssosheknewhewouldbewelloff.Hewasoriginallysetuptogotoafamilywitha

lawyerhusband,buttheybackedoutoftheadoptionwhenthechildwasbornmale.

AnotherfamilywantedtoadopthimbutJoannerefusedforalongwhilebecausethey

hadntevengraduatedhighschoolbuteventuallyshegaveinandsignedthefinal

adoptionpapers,butshewantedtomakesurethathewouldgotocollegesothey

hadtosetupacollegefundimmediatelytostartsavingforhisfuture.

originallygooutonadatewithanothergroupbutwhatwonheroverwashiscar.He

wasengagedtoClarawithinthetwoweeks.theyweremarried.Itwasnineyearslater

thattheydecidedthattheywantedafamily,butduetopastincidentsClarawasunable

tohavechildrensotheydecidedtoadopt.Stevenwastheirmissingpiece.

Asayoungboy,whenhewasinschoolhewouldentertainhimselfbymaking

himselftrouble.WhenhewasathomehisfatherwouldworkoncarsandStevenwould

workonelectronics.Itwasthesamewayallthroughfirst,secondandthirdgrade.Butin

fourthgradehehadthebestteacherthathelpedhimalot.Inthepreviousyearshehad

notbeendoinghisworkaseffectivelyasitcouldhavebeendone,butthisyearhewas

beingbribedtodohiswork.Shesawalotofimprovement,andsawhewasreally

smart.Whenhetookafinaltest,hescoredlikeascoreofahighschoolsophomore.

TheprincipalwasreallyimpressedandsuggestedthatSteveskiptohighschoolbuthis

parentsdidntwantthat.Eventuallytheygaveinandagreedtolethimskipayear.To

sixthgrade.ThatmeanthehadtogotoanewschoolcalledCrittendenMiddleSchool.

Hethoughtitwasaterribleplace!Therewerekidsthatwereratherfondofbullying

otherkids.

Beingthathewasyoungerthantheotherkidshewasalone,anddidntreally

reachouttootherpeople.Hereallyhadahatredforthatschool.Onedayhewenthome

andstatedthathewantedtogotoadifferentschool,andheknewitwasgoingtobe

toughtodowithhisfamily'ssituationbutherefusedtogotoschoolifhehadtocontinue

atCrittendenMiddleSchool.TheymovedandStevenfoundamorekindenvironment.

Athisnewhome,hewasintroducedtoSteveW.throughamutualfriend.

Theysharedaloveformanydifferentthings,butthemostimportant,electronics.Steve

J.andSteveW.startedtobuildthisthingcalledblueboxesandtheysoldthemillegally.

Blueboxesallowedpeopletomakecallsforfree.

Thatwasthebeginningofitall.InninthgradeStevewenttoHomesteadhigh

school.Itwasatwostorycinderblockbuilding.RightafterhehadenteredHomestead

highschoolheenrolledinapopularelectronicsclass.SteveJobshadoncecalledup

thecreatorofHPhimselftoaskforsomesparepartstouse.Stevefinishedhighschool

andhemovedontoReedCollege.Aftersixmonthshefoundthatcollegewasuseless

inhelpinghimworkonwhatheplannedtodoforacareer,andfounditunnecessaryto

spendthemoneythatPaulandClaraJobshadsaved.Itwasscaryatthetime.During

thesixmonthshestayedatReedCollegehefoundaloveforlearningweirdthings.

Afterdroppingout,hefoundhimselflackingmoneyandhewassodesperatehe

gotajobatAtari.WhileworkingatAtariSteveaskedhisbosstofundatripforhimto

India.ThebossacceptedthisideabutinsteadofIndia,StevewenttoGermany.Then

hewentwithhisfriendfromcollegetherestofthewaytoIndia.WhenSteveJobshad

beenawayinIndia,WozgotajobfromHewlettPackard,whichwashisdreamjob.

WhenStevereturned,Wozandhimdiscussedmakingtheirowncomputer

boards.Theyhadtoraise$1,000dollarsjusttogetstarted.StevesoldhisVolkswagen

vanandWozhisHP65Calculator.Oncetheyearnedthemoney,theylearnedthat

therewouldbemorefinancestocome.Butoncetheygotthroughalloftheproblems

theywerecomingtothatwastheinventionoftheapplecomputer.thecompanybecame

itselfbecauseofRonWaynewhoincorporateditin1976.

ThentheycreatedtheApple2whichtookalotlesschipstoputtogether.One

manlikeditsomuchhewantedtoputin$250,000dollarstocreate1,000machines.

ThemanwhoinvestedinthemcreatedanewlogoandtheonlythingthatSteve

requestedwasthatitwasntcute.Thatishowthelogoofthebittenapplewascreated.

WhenthecompanykeptongoingtorateofwhichalltheApplecomputerswereselling

increasedalot.AtonetimealongtimeafterStevehadtensetimeswiththeApple

companysCEO.Thecompanyhasprogressedsincethebeginningofthestart/

creationofApple.SteveJobsdiedattheageof56onOctober5,2011.
