HLAC 1096 Lifelong Wellness Application Paper

Write a paragraph on each of the following:
1. What did you learn about lifelong wellness from taking this activity class?
I learned about many things in this course. For example I learned about proper
eating habits and nutrition, how to properly exercise, goal setting and how to
maintain those goals. I learned about stress and the negative effects on ones
health that they can have and possible illness and other conditions that can occur
due to poor eating and exercising choices.

2. How would you apply this information to your life?

I would use this information that I learned in this course in order to change my
eating habits, and to make and set goals that continue to foster this change. This
also applies for excursing while I am still more physically active that most, but I
want to reap the benefits of good cardiovascular health.

3. What is your intention to continue to exercise in your life and why?

I do tend to continue to exercise like I said above for my cardiovascular health
and also for my son. I do not want to be old before my age and as my father has
done. I would like to remain active so that I can keep up with him and enjoy life,
and have a better quality of life.

4. General ideas for improving this course?

Overall the course was good the only idea that I have for improvement is not to
use scores from the government, or rely on sources that use information from the

government. Unfortunately in this day and age fact is relevant to one party or
anothers political ideology and not what is real. Statics and studies are often
squealed to pander to political ideology regardless of truth.
