Application Paper

Kelsey Jennings wrote a paper for her HLAC 1096 Lifelong Wellness Application class summarizing what she learned. She discussed learning about stress management, health risks, exercises, and how the interactive class was a good hands-on way to learn. Kelsey plans to apply what she learned about exercises and stress management to her daily life. She intends to continue exercising regularly because being healthy and maintaining a healthy mindset is important for her well-being. Kelsey felt the course was effective and did not have any suggestions for improvement.

HLAC 1096 Lifelong Wellness Application Paper

Write a paragraph on each of the following:
1. What did you learn about lifelong wellness from taking this activity class?
I have learned a lot from this class! I learned about stress, what it does to the
body and how to manage it. I also learned about health risks and diseases, along
with the different stretches and exersices. Overall, it was a great learning
experience and the interactiveness was a good hands on way to learn.

2. How would you apply this information to your life?

Instead of returning my book, I am going to keep it for future reference, so I can
look back at the different lessons it teaches. I will apply this into my every day life
from using the different excercises it teaches as well as the stress and mental
issues it discusses. From what Ive learned Ill be able to apply this material
easily in my life.

3. What is your intention to continue to exercise in your life and why?

Exercise in my life is a huge part of my day. I always plan a time where I can go
to the gym, go running, or just take time to stretch. I will continue to do this
because being healthy and in a healthy state of mind is very important for
properly functioning.

4. General ideas for improving this course?

I think it was laid out well, the information was good, so I dont think anything is
needed to change the course. Its very effective.
