vrijeme?

1.Past continuous tense moe


prikazivati zavrenu prolu radnju ije
trajanje elimo naglasiti.

Npr. I was playing soccer yesterday at


5pm. (akcenat je na trajanju radnje)

2.Past continuous tense slui nam da


bismo prikazali neku prolu radnju, koju
je prekinula neka druga radnja iz
prolosti. Da bismo to izrazili koristimo
rije When (kada). Druga radnja
koja je prekinula prvu radnju uvijek se
izraava u prolom vremenu (Past
Simple Tense).

Npr. I was reading when my wife came


home.

3.Past continuous tense je englesko


glagolsko vrijeme kojim moemo
prikazati dvije radnje koje se
dogaaju istovremeno. To inimo
pomou rijei While (dok).

Npr. I was cooking while Jack was


writing the letter.

Odrini:
I was not reading. (wasnt)
You were not fixing. (werent)
She wasnt learning.
He wasnt cutting.
It wasnt sitting.
We werent eating.
You werent working.
They werent demonstrating.

While I was working, he was sitting.

When I came home, my sister was


making lunch.

What were you doing on Monday?


I was writing my homework.

When I brought my present, they


were eating the cake.

When they got a new group member,


I was flying to China.

I was going to the dentist when I met


my old math teacher.

Were you sleeping when I called you


last night?

She was paying for the clothes when


her brother fell.

I was not getting tired while I was


running after the dog.

While she was singing, all the others


were dancing.

She was sending a message while I


was talking.

I was taking my stuff from the room


when he woke up.
