I am continuing to talk with students about Attitude and SelfControl. We have talked specifically about the three things that make up
attitude: how we think, how we feel, and how we act. We talked about
how we have complete control of each of these things for ourselves. We
have talked about taking responsibility for our own choices and actions,
being self-disciplined, and using good judgment when problem solving.
Family Support Groups will be wrapping up in the next few
weeks. These groups have focused mostly on self-evaluation and selfconfidence. If we can reflect on our choices and build our self-confidence,
then we can start to feel better about the situations in our lives that we cannot change or control.
As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please do not
hesitate to contact me by phone at 419-436-4125 ext. 3203 or by email at

Have a Wonderful Summer!
Bethany Zambori-Sanford, Guidance Counselor
P.E. NEWS
It is very difficult to believe, but the school year is nearly over. Just because you are on summer break, it does not mean that one should neglect their
physical well-being. In other words, please dont let physical education end on
May 29th!
If your child is entering into the 5th grade next year, encourage them to
work on their pushups, sit-ups, flexibility and running. These aspects are very
important for the 5th grade Ohio Physical Education Assessments. Even if your
child isnt a 5th grader next year, they may be involved in a class that is part of my
SLOs. This SLO is based on Standard 4 of the Ohio Physical Education Assessment, specifically cardiovascular endurance, upper body strength, abdominal
strength, and flexibility.
This summer, encourage your child to take walks, go out for a jog, head
to the city pool, or organize a neighborhood game. If you are fortunate enough
to be playing summer baseball or softball, you are already ahead of the game!
Whatever you decide to do to get your exercise on, have fun and work
hard, and return to school in condition to take on SLOs and the Ohio Physical
Education Assessment.
