Thank you!
Our 4th Quarter is o to a great start and the students have been working so hard! I am
proud of the Vitality and Intelligence that they are showing each and every day. Thank you
for supporting your students at home and by encouraging them to do their best at QISS. I
would also like to thank you for taking the time out of your schedules to come to the
Student-led Conferences. The students had a wonderful time sharing the work that they are
doing this year.
The students have been working hard throughout the past weeks to learn about
microbes. They have learned that microbes can be both good and bad for living things.

They have also learned some disgusting facts about microbes. I encourage you to ask

your student to share some information that they have learned about microbes. For the

observations using their eyes and nose to describe a variety of foods and drinks. While

Government
During class and at home the students have spent time learning about the Chinese
government and also governments around the world. We were lucky to have Ms. Julie to
prepare lessons to teach the students about Chinese history and the way that the
government works here in China. The students were always excited to hear what new

and exciting information she would share each day. Now the students are working on creating presentations
to showcase information about governments from dierent places around the world. The students seem very
enthusiastic about working this project and we have had many interesting and intense conversations while
trying to understand how governments share similarities and dierences. We have moved the project due
date to May 15th in order to allow the students some more time to finish their project. If you or your child
needs anything, please let me know.
