Equality is an Illusion
Every day, wear hear about the horrors women endure suffering. Women are condemned,
yet they ignore the oppression by the delusion women have achieved equality. Women do have
the right to vote as do men. Women do have the right to walk freely with no masculine
companion, as do men. Woman can join the workforce. Despite the indisputable gains, women
are not paid equally, cannot wear anything theyd please, and walk down the street without the
fear of being catcalled, harassed, or in danger. It is time to fight gender injustice, to stop fooling
women in this country. Fooled by the fact, all men are created equal. The lingering battle for
equality will not cease until justice is served.
It is imperative to recognize the unprecedented distortion of women in our civilization.
Women should be able to expand their choices and demonstrate their capabilities. They should be
given equal access to education, health services, and equal pay. History shows all ideas can
change throughout time, slavery to freedom, or minimum wage rising. An idea is not always
agreed upon, therefore; votes are made to conclude propositions.
To eliminate the thought of women as inferior, we must end the idea and eradicate the system
producing the idea. Women are often divided from men due to gender. They are divided by the
thought of gender roles where women stay at home to clean and nurture children. Our society is
not far from moving on to equal wage earning for men and women.
