Strategy for lining up in a neat and sensible line:
SAVE
S stand still
A arms by your side
V voices silent
E eyes straight
Chants to get students attention:
1. Come and join me on the floor (army tune)
Im not waiting anymore.
2. Sing:
Im waiting, anticipating..for you to stop and look at
me.
3. Teacher: 1,2,3, eyes on me.
Students reply: 1,2, eyes on you!
4. Teacher: Are we set?
Students reply: You bet!
5. Teacher: Hocus Pocus
Students reply: Everybody focus!
Fare-well Non-verbal Strategy:
Skin and Bones (action).
