Paints and Resins


Mixed Xylene (P) has a major end use in the surface coatings industry because of
its solvency and evaporation rate. It is used in the formulation of high quality
industrial coatings such as automotive, marine, baking enamels, furniture lacquer
and other protective coatings.
In the manufacture of coating resins, it is used as a true solvent in alkyd and amino
resin preparation and for other high performance coating resins.
2. Pesticides
Mixed Xylene (P) can also be used as a carrier solvent in many pesticide
formulations. The sp. gravity, solvency powers and evaporation rate are some of
the important parameters for its use in agrochemical formulations.
3. Chemical specialities
Reliance Mixed Xylene (P) is used in oil field chemical applications for the
manufacture of pour point depressants.
