(2) Application fee (non-refundable): Please include a personal check, a bank check, or cash
for US$100. Make the check payable to National Taiwan University.
z Note 1We regret that banks in Taiwan do not accept checks with even the slightest
correction. Please check the following page for some unacceptable samples before
mailing your check.
z Note 2Please put the date on the check in the order of MM, DD, YYYY.

z Note 3National Taiwan University accepts only greenbacks issued in and after 1997,
and does not accept the series number that begins with CB or any foreign bank note
with stains or marks.
Photos: Mail two clear color headshots, or email one digital photo to [email protected]. Please
indicate your full name and which program you are applying for in the email.
Statement of Purpose: Describe briefly your personal, academic, and career plans.
Transcripts: Official records of all your collegiate work should accompany your application.
References: Two references are required. Complete the information in the first part of the
reference report and send the form to the individual who will be providing your reference.
These references may be written in English or in Chinese. Have your referee complete and sign
the form and return it to you in a sealed envelope. Each referee must also sign across the seal
of the envelope. Referees may send the recommendation forms directly to us if they prefer to
do so. We prefer the completed recommendations to be mailed to us together with your other
application materials.

All successful applicants will receive an admission packet from ICLP and will be given a placement
test upon arrival. Should you have any enquiry, please do not hesitate to contact us.
