Read all text, short story, supplemental assignments and other work as assigned
Participation and involvement in class (this is big)
Respect (yourself, others including teachers, property)
Responsibility (pay attention, do your work, pick up after yourself, hand in work on
time
5. Materials- bring everything everyday unless otherwise notified

6. Check out textbooks from the teacher when desired (these will remain in the
classroom)
7. Make-up work is your responsibility! I will not look for you as this is your job. Work
that is to be made up due to an excused absence follows the student handbook
policy. EXCEPTION: All quizzes must be made up within 2 days and taken before
the test. If extenuating circumstances prevail, see the instructor.
8. Late work policy- work that is one day late receives credit. Work later than this
receives no credit.
9. All cell phones and electronic devices need not to be present unless okd by the
instructor.

Zero tolerance cheating policy. Cheating will result in an automatic zero on
the assignment with no chance for make-up. This includes plagiarism. All work
should be your own.
Course Objectives:

Develop and expand critical thinking skills within and outside the content area
Acquire a solid knowledge base that goes beyond U.S. History
Utilize historical knowledge by making connections to the present day
Obtain skills necessary to be successful in life!!!

Grading:
Grades will be entered into power school on a total point system. This means that the
total number of points earned will be divided by the total number of points possible.
Grading Scale:
(A)92-100
64 & below

(B) 83-91

(C) 74-82

(D) 65-73
