Question Formation: WH Questions

This document discusses question formation using wh-questions in English. It outlines the seven main wh-words - who, what, where, why, when, how, which - and their meanings. It then provides three rules for forming questions: 1) Invert the subject and helping verb for questions with helping verbs. 2) Add a form of "do" and change the main verb to base form for questions without helping verbs. 3) Leave the word order the same for questions with an unknown subject. Examples are given to illustrate applying each rule.
