‘The SENIOR WELDING INSPECTOR
consist of 2 packages:
+ Training 5 days
+ Examination 1 day
3.2 TRAINING CONTENT
The training contain:
+ Theory subject :
> Knowledge of Planning, Supervision,
Leadership, Organization and Audit,
> Quality Assurance & Quality Control
> And additional all subject stated in 3.143.2: TRAINING CONTENT (cont)
The 3.2 practical training consist of:
+ Analytical scrutiny of Fracture Samples
+ Interpretation of Welding Symbols
iricorporated with Engineering Drawing.
.* Scrutiny of NDT Report with regards to
error and mistakes.
3.2 EXAMINATION
The SENIOR WELDING INSPECTOR
examination is divided into 2 categories:
4.The 3.2.4 (without the radiograph
interpretation)
2.The 3.2.2 ( with the radiograph
interpretation)3.2 EXAMINATION (cont)
3.2.1 without Radiograph Interpretation.
+ Theory (Technology ) Paper 75 minutes
(Answer 4 questions. Q1 compulsory)
+ Theory (General) paper 45 minutes
(30 multiple choice questions)

+ Practical A2, Analytical scrutiny 2 Fracture
samples: 60 minutes
* Practical B2. Interpretation of Welding
Symbols from Eng. Drawing 60 minutes
+ Practical C2. Scrutiny of 3 NDT reports with
regards to error and mistakes, 60 minutes3.2 EXAMINATION (cont)
3.2.2 with Radiographic Interpretation
* All the 5 papers of 3.2.
+ 3 Radiographic papers:
> 20 MC Gen, radiography theory. 30 Minutes
* > Density & Sensitivity calculation. 60 minutos
> Interpretation of 6 radiographs. 90 minutes.

3.2 EXAMINATION (cont)
Note:
To be able to sit the Senior Welding
Inspector exam, the candidates must hold a
valid 3.1 Welding Inspector Certificate with
a minimum experience of 2 years in the
related field.
