The user needs to follow 6 steps to fix the certificate problem: 1) Open the folder containing the certificate file, generally located at "C:\ProgramData\ABB\UpdateManager\Downloads". 2) Right click the certificate file and select "Install Certificate". 3) Click "Next>" on the wizard dialog. 4) Choose the second option and select "Trusted Publishers" when browsing. 5) Click "Next" and "Finish" to complete the import.

Solution

The user need to do following to fix this problem.


1) Open the folder containing certificate file. Generally certificate get downloaded in
following location "C:\ProgramData\ABB\UpdateManager\Downloads" otherwise user can
open folder by clicking folder icon appearing at the end of "Location for downloaded files"
under "Settings" .

2) Please right click on the certificate (.cer) file, then click on Install Certificate.

3) The following wizard dialog will be shown. Click "Next >"

4) After clicking next following window will appear, please choose 2nd option chosen in
following screen shot.

5) Then please click on "Browse..." button, then following window will appear, please select
"Trusted Publishers" and press "OK".

6) After choosing "Trusted Publishers" press Next

6) After this please press "Finish" and then on getting message "Import was successful"
please press "OK".
