Part II: Reflection

CANDIDATE REFLECTIONS:
(Minimum of 3-4 sentences per question)

1. Briefly describe the field experience. What did you learn about technology facilitation and
leadership from completing this field experience?
During this field experience, which included writing a shared vision and rationale, a current reality
report of my school, and a one-year action and evaluation plan I learned about the importance and
need to take a deep look into the schools current situation to plan for effective technology
implementation to improve school performance. I reviewed the SIP from my school and district to
see how technology was addressed to determine needs of school, staff, and students. An interview
was given to teachers to assess their attitudes about what was currently in place and how we could
change procedures and implementations for the betterment of all involved.

2. How did this learning relate to the knowledge (what must you know), skills (what must you
be able to do) and dispositions (attitudes, beliefs, enthusiasm) required of a technology
facilitator or technology leader? (Refer to the standards you selected in Part I. Use the
language of the PSC standards in your answer and reflect on all 3knowledge, skills, and
dispositions.)
This learning related to the knowledge I need to know by contributing to the development,
communication, and implementation of a shared vision for technology integration to support
learning for all students. I am able to conduct needs assessments to inform the content and
delivery of technology programs that result in a positive impact on student learning. I believe that
it is my job as a technology leader to model and encourage technology integration for all faculty
and students to improve student learning.

3. Describe how this field experience impacted school improvement, faculty development or
student learning at your school. How can the impact be assessed?
This experience impacted school improvement, faculty development, and student learning.
Enhancing the use of technology for student learning can only be a plus for all involved. Teachers
get a deeper understanding of their content and are able to facilitate better lessons for their
students. The impact of the learning for all can be assessed in all forms of formative and
summative assessment data.
