Ana Garcia took an activity class called HLAC 1096 - Lifelong Wellness. She learned that wellness requires balance across physical, mental, emotional, social, nutritional and spiritual health, not just physical activity and nutrition. Garcia also learned about diseases that can occur from losing balance in any of the wellness components. Additionally, she learned how to maximize workouts and improve her lifestyle through exercise. Garcia intends to apply what she learned by maintaining balance across all wellness areas to live longer and stay healthy. She wants to continue exercising according to a plan with reachable goals to remain healthy. The only suggested improvement for the course is more interaction between students.

Write a paragraph on each of the following:
1. What did you learn about lifelong wellness from taking this activity class?
I learned that wellness comes from a balnce of physical, mental, emotional,
social, nutritional, and spiritual health not only physical activity and nutrition. I
also learned about the deiseases that can occur if I were to lose balance of any
of the components of wellness. Lastly I learn how to make the most out of my
workouts and how to improve my lifestyle because of those workouts.

2. How would you apply this information to your life?


I can apply this to my everyday life because if I want to live longer and have a
healthier life I must keep myself in total wellness therefore all the components
must be in balance and this class has taught me how to put them in balance.
This class also showed me the diseases that can arise if we are not in balance
and that made me want to make a bigger effort to stay in balance because I do
not want any of thee diseases that I can get if I dont stay in balance. I can apply
the knowledge I got on how to improve the benefits from the workouts to help
improve my cardiorespiratory endurance.

3. What is your intention to continue to exercise in your life and why?


I want to continue having a plan in which to follow and apply all of the information
that I learned during this course. I think this course has helped me see the
importance of a good workout, and how to set reachable goals and mmost
importantly how to achieve those goals and be healthy. I plan to continue my
excersie log every six weeks and update it only when nessecary because I found
it to be very affective for me.

4. General ideas for improving this course?


I understand this is an online course but I think that there should be more
interaction with the other students enrolled in the course. Other than that this
class is perfect!!
