PHYSICAL DISABILITIES AND


RIDING

Riding moves a persons body in a way similar to


the human gate.
Riders who have a physical disability usually show
improvement in flexibility, balance and muscle
strength.

MENTAL/EMOTIONAL
DISABILITIES AND RIDING

Individuals in this area benefit from the bond


formed between the horse and rider.
This promotes confidence, patience and selfesteem.
Riding also gives the individual a sense of
independence.
