Formative assessment is about learning and what the students already know before the
lesson and understand the content. This monitors students response to and progress with
instruction. Formative provides immediate feedback from teacher and student regarding their
learnings. A summative assessment is referred based on the lesson and what they retained from
it. Focus on what the students has learned in the end and how they fallowed instruction and if
their learning goals have been met. The differences between the two are the time of instruction
and the timing where assessment took place. Four ways that technology can assist in both
assessments is teachers can use technology to make their own work more productive. Teachers
can utilize spreadsheets to track students work, their lesson plans. Teacher can make it easy for
students to see their results and where they need to improve. Teachers can share their
assessments online by creating statistics, provide students results and data for students to be
informed. The answer key that is provided below is based on formative assessment.

knowledge. Teachers utilize technology to assess students on getting feedback on their learning
and their success. Teachers are able to receive quick feedback from students that will help
teachers to get an understanding of their learnings and needs. The three assessments tools that
teachers can use are e-portfolio, Podcasting and Blackboard. All of these tools are able to help
teachers to get a better understanding of students learning and how much information,
knowledge they gathered and students achievements. Teachers are also able to create lessons,
quizzes and grade test on these tools.
E-portfolio is a great tool that teacher can utilize to assess students learning. An EPortfolio can facilitate students' reflection on their own learning, leading to more awareness of
learning strategies and needs. E-portfolio can be seen as a type of learning record that provides
actual evidence of achievement. Learning records are closely related to the learning Plan, an
emerging tool that is being used to manage learning by individuals, teams, communities of
interest, and organizations (Wikipedia 2015). E-portfolio gives the possibility for teachers and
students to share understanding about the topic, but also gather the students knowledge. This
tool main purpose is to provide communication between students and teachers.
Furthermore; Podcasting is another great tool that teachers and students can utilize. This
tool is a form of digital media, that is utilize for audio and radio media. Teachers are also able to
download files in to this software and it can be used to provide audio lesson to students.
Another great tool that teachers and students can utilize is Socrative. This software helps
teachers engage and assess technology in a classroom with educational methods, concepts right
from their laptops, smartphones and tablets. This tool not only is great but it also construct
students performance and provides information, records, data to help teachers, parents for
students to improve their learnings.

utilize technology to facilitate the ongoing efforts to assess student learning in the classroom to
share work online, facilitate instruction to give feedback online and support feedback from
students. It helps students strength their learnings and weakness and targets where they need to
improve. This allows teachers to get an understanding of students learning, if they need
improvements or help on understanding the concept or material.
Using technology has good outcomes for teachers and students. It helps teachers to
clarify the course materials. Teachers utilizing technology also improves students engagements
and stimulates deeper learnings. Technology in the classroom is not just for students to create
lessons, create assessment. Teachers can also utilize the technology to keep student records,
communicate with parents, get feedbacks from students, provide information, and facilitate
instruction. It gives students ability to understand the subject, learn and strengthens their
weakness. Using technology can also have some negative impact in students, teachers and it can
also be expensive for school. Some school may have a budget and may not able to provide best
technology or even have technology for students and teachers. Teachers may spend more time to
create lessons to find the proper sources, information that can get little overwhelmed. Students
can explore to searcher the internet and get distracted instead of focusing on the assignment or
material that is needed for their projects. Students may focus on their interest can utilize the
technology for personal reasons.
Technology assess is important to be able for teachers to utilize to give a good education
to students. It is important that teacher have the knowledge and understanding of each and every
student for their success. Teacher have this great opportunity todays world to be capable to
provide learning and the appropriate concept. Teacher should not utilize only technology to
assess students learnings. It is still important for teacher to maintain and provide hands on, old
ways, hand written assignments or exams to students. Teacher still needs to have the knowledge
on how to be a good teacher. How to provide good education and not depend always in
technology. It is important that we still keep the traditional ways in the classroom because
students or parents may not see that you are a great teacher and wanting to give a good education
to their children. Instead parents may feel that teacher may lake in knowledge and skills to
providing good education.
It is importance for teachers to utilize standards because it implements students learnings
and it implements students engagement and experience students learnings. Not only it provides
great aspects on learning but also develops students professional practice that will beneficial in
their careers. Teachers use technologies to facilitate knowledge, advance students learnings,
creativity and virtual and face to face experiences.
Technology is being utilized by teachers to improve educational concept for students
learnings. Teachers utilize technology to benefit students interaction, creativeness, better
learnings, give better understanding of materials and improve their educational experiences. It is
important for teachers to utilize these technologies based on academics standards to improve
students learnings. It is also important that teachers provide the best education for their students
and if utilizing technology to improve their educational it should be used in an appropriate ways.
