Installation HYSYS ASPEN 8

To install AspenTech aspenONE v8.0, prerequisites of Windows XP/7 (x86 or x64) and .NET 3.5 SP1 must first be met. Then, SQL 2005 SP3 should be installed if needed, a license file created using LicGen.exe, and the ISO image mounted or extracted. Running setup.exe allows selecting the license configuration file and desired products, before copying STRGXI2.dll and the LIC file to the Shared folder and restarting.

Prerequisites:
Windows XP/7 (x86 or x64)
.NET 3.5 SP1
1. Install SQL 2005 SP3 if necessary
SQLEXPR_en.exe (use Mixed Authentication)
2. Restart
3. Create license file
LicGen.exe (creates C:\AspenONE folder with LIC file - takes a few minut

4. Mount or extract ISO image
5. Install Aspen
setup.exe
a. Select License Configuration
Refer to LIC file (710 licenses should be found)
b. Select Products tab
Select products you want to install
Complete data for Windows administrator user for services
6. Copy STRGXI2.dll to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Hyprotech\Shared\ folder
7. Copy LIC file to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Hyprotech\Shared\ folder
8. Restart
