Homework: Homework will be assigned every class session. It is your responsibility to keep up with the
homework assignments. Homework will be collected in a packet on the review day before the final.
Questions from the most recent homework assignment will be discussed during the first five minutes of
each class session. Homework will be graded based on completeness.
Lecture and notes: Guided notes will be made available on the classs blackboard site. You are expected
to print out the notes before class and come prepared to fill them out with me. If you have missed a
class session, you must ask one of your classmates for filling in what you missed.
Quizzes: There will be weekly quizzes, except for exam weeks. These quizzes will be taken from the
assigned homework problems. There will be NO makeup quizzes.
Exams: There will be three exams, each worth 20% of the course grade. There will be NO makeup
exams. If a student is caught cheating, then a score of 0 will be assigned to that exam grade.
Final Exam: The final exam will be cumulative, and it is worth 25% of the course grade. It will be on
Tuesday, December 15 at 3:00-5:00 pm.
Calculators: Only scientific NON-graphing calculators are permitted. You cannot use your cell phone,
iPad, etc. as a calculator. You will need a calculator for the quizzes and exams.
Cheating: Cheating is not permitted in any way. Any student caught cheating will receive a 0 on that
quiz, exam, or final.
Attendance: Attendance to lecture is required. According to the policy in the colleges catalog, a student
may be dropped from the class after six cumulative hours of absence.
Cell phones: No cell phones may be used during class.

let me know ASAP so that your learning needs may be appropriately met.
