This lesson plan outlines a 40 minute class revising the simple present and present continuous tenses. The teacher will greet students and ask what day it is to warm them up. Pictures will then be shown of people doing different actions, and the teacher will ask questions using body language to check students' understanding. Key uses of the tenses will be explained - the present continuous for current activities and simple present for habits. Students will complete written exercises on the tenses and then do an oral production activity. The lesson aims to help students use the tenses correctly in context.
