Technology to Support Communication

Introduction
With so many tools for teachers to use to communicate with students, parents, and the
global community, it is important for them to research and find out the best for use in their own
classrooms.
Technology to Enhance Communication
Daily Blog/Vlog: Daily blogging, video blogging(vlog) is a great tool to stay in current contact
with not only your students but their parents and the local and even global community.(Replace
the Name of Communication Tool placeholder with the Name of the Tool you are discussing.
Describe how you will use this tool to communicate with the various parties listed; Parents,
Students and Global Community. Tell us what grade level you plan to teach and focus on that
group of students. Support your rationale with research)
Remind 101: The idea of texting has now become the preferred communication of the
generation called the millenials(Bobbitt, Inman, Bertrand, 2013). Why not use that to our
advantage as teachers to get information into the students smartphone? (Replace the Name of
Communication Tool placeholder with the Name of the Tool you are discussing. Describe how
you will use this tool to communicate with the various parties listed; Parents, Students and
Global Community. Tell us what grade level you plan to teach and focus on that group of
students. Support your rationale with research)

Web Page: A class web page is like a virtual classroom where students, teachers, parents and
extended members can visit, and communicate. (Replace the Name of Communication Tool
placeholder with the Name of the Tool you are discussing. Describe how you will use this tool to
communicate with the various parties listed; Parents, Students and Global Community. Tell us
what grade level you plan to teach and focus on that group of students. Support your rationale
with research)
Communication Internet Security and Safety
Internet safety and security is a huge concern for teachers when communicating to
parents, students or the community. It is also imperative to teach safety skills to students not ony
elicetly, but also by showing discression yourself when using web based tools for the
classroom(Roberts, Newman, 2012). (How should teachers address Internet security and safety
in communications with students? What will you teach related to safely communicating and
working online. Tell us what grade level you plan to teach and focus on that group of students.
Support your choices with evidence from your required readings, and three to five peer-reviewed
articles from the GCU eLibrary)

Concluding Paragraph (4-6 sentences)

(A solid academic paper always ends with a conclusion to summarize what was discussed in
the paper and why it is important. This should be in your own words with no citations.)
