Tools For Using Windows 8.1

Windows key + X provides quick access to system tools like Control Panel, Shut Down, Restart, System Information, and Device Manager. System information like model, processor details can be viewed by opening Run (Windows key + R), entering "msinfo32" or using Windows key + X and selecting System. Recent documents can also be accessed quickly by opening Run (Windows key + R), entering "shell:recent" to view a folder of recently used files.

Use WINDOW key+X for tools such as control panel, shut down, restart,sytem

information, device manager, disk management, device manager, etc.


System information ( e.g. System Model - Vostro 3558, processor detail etc.)
1)Open the Run box with the keyboard shortcut Win key+R
2)Enter msinfo32
3)Listing all your system information will open
OR
1)Using Window key+ X, system & other tools are available
2)Click system to view system information

Access Your Most Recent Documents


1)Open the Run box with the keyboard shortcut Win key+R
2)Enter shell:recent (without quotes or spaces)
3)The folder listing all your recent items will open.
