From this piece of data, I was able to see that a large majority of the people surveyed are more
attracted by the image and free gifts that come with the magazine. This shows that when
constructing my own magazine, I will need to focus on making the cover image as eye catching and
professionally done as possible.

From this piece of data, I can see that, for a magazine directed primarily at students, discounts and
vouchers are very important. As a result of this, I will include discounts for restaurants and clothes
shops in my magazine.

From this I was able to see that in a magazine, student more commonly wanted sections to notify
them of music events and job opportunities. Although a quarter were interested in having a place to
tell them about events the college is holding, no one wanted information from the student union.
This told me that the magazine should be more for the students than for the college itself.

From this question, I found out that a majority of people preferred either monochrome colour
schemes and purple. This showing that darker colours are more attractive to students rather than
brighter, and perhaps more childish, colours.

From this I can see that the chance of winning prizes is a very popular idea, so I will include this in my
magazine. As the magazine needs to cater for a wide range of ages, it will be important that the
competition and the prize appeal to a variety of people (i.e free meals, gadgets, music download
vouchers).
