October 2015 Newsletter

Dear parents,
We cannot believe that a whole month of
school has already gone by! We had a great start
to the year and as a class, we are continuing to
work on reinforcing classroom rules and routines.

In math, we will be continuing chapter three: Data Management.


Continue reviewing your childs homework every night. Also, review
the previous nights lesson so your child can make any corrections
necessary.
Please remind your child to correct any errors made on the quizzes
and test and to return them to school in the black evaluation duotang.
In French, we will be completing our
reading comprehension block on
visualization. (Check agenda for test
date). We will be starting our unit on
making predictions. In writing, we
will complete our letter to a grade 5
student. The letter is the fianal piece
for letter writing unit. We will begin
our unit on la bande dessine
Finally, in grammar we will be
studying nouns, pronouns, les
dterminants possessifs et les
verbes avoir, tre et en er.

In writing, we will continue our

be focusing on the reading
comprehension strategy of
parts of a story and character
traits. In grammar we will
continue studying nouns,
pronouns, verbs and adjectives.

Reminders
Log onto Prodigy to practice and improve your math skills
Continue to sign the agenda every night.
The We Day committee will be collecting canned goods for the poor
for Thanksgiving. Please donate any non-perishable food items.
