The E-Learning platform works with:

INTERNET EXPLORER version 5, 6, 7, 8


MOZILLA FIREFOX 2.5, 3.x, 3.5.x (3.6.x not yet supported)
GOOGLE CHROME

Specific settings:

INTERNET EXPLORER version 5 6 7 :


1. Select TOOLS from the Internet Browser menu.
2. Select INTERNET OPTIONS
3. Access the SECURITY TAB and set the level to Medium under Securtity level for
this zone

4. Press the Custom level button and a new window Security Settings Internet
Zone will pop-up:

In this new window select:


* ENABLE for Active scripting din Scripting
* ENABLE for Scripting of Java applets
* ENABLE or PROMPT for all the options inActive X Controls and plug-ins
especially for:
- RUN ACTIVE X CONTROLS AND PLUGINS
- Display video and animation on an webpage that do not use external media player
5. Select again TOOLS from the Internet Browser menu
6. Select INTERNET OPTIONS
7. Press the ADVANCED TAB and ensure the Java box is ticked.

8. Also, check the Disable script debugging option from the Browsing branch.

INTERNET EXPLORER version 8 :


a) Select PAGE from the IE 8 toolbar, and click Compatibility View Settings
(you can choose this sub-menu from the Tools menu too)

b) Check Display all websites in Compatibility View

You can also add the elearning.bitdefender.com URL to the allow pop-ups
(Tools, Pop-up blocker, Pop-up blocker settings)

c) Restart IE 8. Retry.
If you still encounter issues, you can perform all the settings for IE versions 5, 6 or 7

MOZILLA FIREFOX:

- From the browser menu choose TOOLS.


- Select OPTIONS

- From the CONTENT TAB ensure that the site elearning.bitdefender.com


appears as an exception if you have checked the block pop-ups windows option.
- Be sure to have all the options from Advanced in Enable Java ticked

GOOGLE CHROME:
In order not to encounter issues when using this browser make sure you have at
least a Java version 1.6 update 10 installed.
